About the 2019 Road to Discovery Bike Ride & the ESTEEM Legacy Project

The Ara Parsgeghian Medical Research Fund (APMRF) at Notre Dame has raised funds and awareness for Niemann-Pick Type C (NPC) through a variety of fundraisers including the cross-country & local Road to Discovery bike rides.  During these rides, we have visited over 150 cities, held over 125 events, a number of news stories and articles, and raised over $1.5 million for NPC disease research.

Over the past four years, the APMRF has partnered the University’s ESTEEM Masters of Science program to organize the annual bike ride as part of their Legacy Project, which aims to assist in a charity and help fundraise and promote their cause.  To learn more about the history of the ESTEEM Legacy Project please visit https://esteem.nd.edu/news-blogs/experiences/legacy-project/.

This year the APMRF and ESTEEM program will take on a 3-day bike ride on May 13-15, 2019. We will be riding from Notre Dame, IN – Michigan City, IN – Chicago, IL – Notre Dame, IN.  Additionally, there will be evening fundraising receptions in each city.
